Why we exist

Running caps fail at speed: the cotton crown that gains a soaked ounce by mile five, the sweat dripping into eyes at tempo pace, the reflective sliver headlights never find, the race caps that clear customs on Monday.

Every one is a specification or calendar failure, decided before production — and deciding them properly is the entire company.

Grams are the spec

Featherweight unstructured crowns, minimal seams, technical wicking fabric — and the weight in grams printed on the spec sheet where buyers can compare it.

Structure looks great on shelves and weighs real grams on runs; we build for the run and say so.

Sweat has a route

The sweatband’s job is hydraulic: channel sweat toward the temples and away from eyes, keep working when saturated, and dry by the cooldown walk.

Vent panels — laser-perforated or mesh — sit where heads actually shed heat, not where the design looked balanced.

Reflectivity is safety equipment

Most miles happen in bad light, so reflective builds are engineered in 360 degrees: front hit, temple ticks for crossing beams, back tab for traffic behind.

Materials are rated for reflective return after constant washing — February visibility matters more than first-week sparkle.

The port is a feature

Half the running world wears a ponytail; the opening deserves engineering — sized for real hair, edges bound so ten miles don’t saw at it, crowns that keep shape around the gap.

Open-back builds go further for high buns, with stride-stable elastic and fit ranges stated honestly.

Race dates are sacred

The expo opens Friday; the gun fires Sunday. Event dates go in writing with the quote, quantities are planned against registration curves, and a surge-week top-up path is agreed before it’s needed.

We decline dates we cannot make, because Monday’s delivery helps nobody.

Clubs get file discipline

A run club’s cap is its 6 a.m. flag — so colours and specs live on file, reorders of twenty match founding runs of forty, and limited drops are batched so members collect them instead of scalpers.

Identity doesn’t scale down, and neither does our paperwork.

What we will talk you out of

Cotton. Structure that’s only grams. A reflective sliver doing a safety job. ‘One size’ through an open back. And any race date we already know we would miss.

Each refusal costs us an order occasionally and a runner’s trust never.
